Up to this point, the sheer size of the GOP presidential field has actually been somewhat of an asset. It’s a positive to have anywhere from six to nine national potentially presidential figures making the case for the conservative cause to voters across the country. Granted, some of the candidates have espoused conservative principles more accurately and/or more effectively than others, but, by and large, all the GOP candidates have, at one time or another, pounded the president on jobs and the economy and reminded voters they’re generally not better off now than they were four years ago. Made me laugh, even though (a) Maverick won New Hampshire twice so clearly some voters do care; (b) a candidate who can’t crack 13 percent in a state to which he’s completely committed probably shouldn’t goof on anyone else for being marginal; (c) this is a guy who once sent out not one but two press releases touting a “major endorsement” that ended up coming from … Jeb Bush’s son. The teenage bride's eyes were swollen nearly shut as she was wheeled into the hospital seven months after her arranged marriage. Brazil’s former president undergoes radiation
Tweet Doctors say former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has undergone his first session of radiation for throat cancer.Doctors at Sao Paulo's Sirio Libanes Hospital say in a statement that Silva also underwent a chemotherapy session.Silva spent six hours at the hospital on Wednesday, then returned to his home in an industrial suburb of Sao Paulo.Silva is expected to undergo daily outpatient radiation sessions Monday through Friday for the next six to seven weeks.He began chemotherapy in October after the tumor in his throat was detected.Doctors have said that thanks to the chemotherapy, the tumor in Silva's throat is now 75 percent smaller than when they first found it.
