Will the Decision on the XL Keystone Pipeline be Ideological?

By Karl Gotthardt Canadian and Military Editor After weeks of protests, including Hollywood celebrities, on the White House Lawn and by the Council of Canadians on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, the State Department held its final hearing on the pipeline on Friday. The State Departments own assessment determined that the environmental impact would be minimal. This calls into question whether the decision on the pipeline, which will carry crude oil from the Alberta Oil Sands to Texas, will be based on fact or ideology? Glenn Beck finished his first month on his new network that he owns making ruffly ten times his Fox news Salary and has more paid subscribers then the Queen Of Television Oprah Winfrey. America’s Top 8 Overpaid CEOs gave heavily to Democrats, Only one works on Wall Street

While folks are protesting Wall Street, the list of the Top compensated CEOs came out this week. Only one on the list number 3. Laurence Fink of BlackRock Inc. actually can be considered working on Wall Street. The other item of note is that out of this list a super majority gave money to Democrats. 24/7 Wall St. obtained the list of companies with the 100 highest paid CEOs from GMI, an independent governance ratings firm. The CEOs’ total compensation includes base salary, perks, cash bonuses, equity awards and any increase in pensions and other retirement benefits. Energy Department approved loan to build Electric Cars In Finland

On top of all that, this car that cost nearly a hundred thousand dollars ends up getting less gas millage than an SUV. So why is American Taxpayer money going to build cars in Finland when the unemployment rate in the states is 9.1%? As The Obama Administration. The Department of Energy is standing by a $529 million loan guarantee to a company building an electric car line in Finland. Obama Administration approves BP Plan for Gulf Drilling

The Obama administration on Friday took another step toward allowing BP to return to the Gulf of Mexico, approving the first oil drilling plan for the company there since the explosion that sank the Deepwater Horizon rig more than a year ago. It was another sign that oil exploration in the gulf is coming back to normal, although energy companies continue to complain that the permitting process for drilling new wells remains far slower than before the accident. The federal government’s approval of the BP plan to drill up to four exploratory wells nearly 200 miles from the Louisiana coast was positive news for BP, which has struggled to recover from the April 2010 accident that left 11 workers dead and spilled millions of barrels of oil into the gulf.
