Today in Florida President Barack Obama “backed off” (as Politico’s Carol Lee put it) his defense of the Ground Zero mosque. Obama now claims that last night he was only defending the legal rights of the organizers: “I was not commenting and I will not comment on the wisdom of making the decision to put a mosque there. I was commenting very specifically on the right people have that dates back to our founding. That’s what our country is about. And I think it’s very important as difficult as some of these issues are that we stay focused on who we are as a people and what our values are all about.” Gee, Obama sure sounded last night as if he were defending the mosque. Conservative Activists file suit after group tries to turn TeaParty into a Third Party

A coalition of tea party activists in South Florida is accusing a well-known local radio host of trying to hijack their movement. The Florida activists filed a lawsuit last month against Doug Guetzloe after he filed papers last year with state officials registering the name "Tea Party" as an official political party -- and then warned other tea party groups to stop using that name. Guetzloe, who is also a political consultant, made waves in the conservative activist movement by registering the tea party name since none of the other state tea party groups operate as an official party. Rumors have been flying around the Florida political world since around 8:00 p.m. this evening that the controversial hard hitting liberal,  Congressman Robert Wexler, was going to resign.  Around 10:30 p.m. Eastern Time the rumor was confirmed by the Miami Herald.  Congressman Wexler will announce his resignation at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday Morning. It appears that Overweight people are still among the groups you are allowed to discriminate over. What if the sign had a Black woman or a lesbian on the billboard? There would be public out rage everywhere. Do over weight people have to be attacked from all angles? The usually half naked protesters for vegetarianism decide to beat up on the Obese folks in our society who struggle each day trying to lose weight. Others are happy with their shape and have no desire to look like a skeleton. These are the same folks that spend time in Rehab facilities because, Drug and Alcohol use is a disease.
