Westboro Baptist Church: “Thank God for 125 dead in Joplin.” plan protest during Obama visit

All I can say is .... John 3:17 "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. The controversial Westboro Baptist Church is planning to protest President Obama's visit to Joplin, Missouri Sunday. On its website, the church writes, "Thank God for 125 dead in Joplin." Church members claim Missouri Governor Jay Nixon has attacked them by promoting laws banning them from protesting at soldiers' funerals. President Obama is planning to visit the tornado-ravaged city this Sunday. A memorial is also planned that day for the 125 people who lost their lives in the tornado. Nixon said Wednesday that the community "must come together and seek a higher power's assistance." He said it was appropriate the community [...]
Poll: Doctors Oppose Government-Run Health Coverage

Poll of physicians reveals lack of willingness to accept new patients covered by a government plan The American Society of Medical Doctors (ASMD) today released a nationwide, nonpartisan poll* of physicians showing that: * 70 percent of specialty doctors oppose current Congressional and White House proposals for health-care reform; * 66 percent believe that a government-run health insurance plan would restrict doctors' ability to give the best advice and offer the best care possible to their patients; and * More than 60 percent would not accept new patients with government insurance (including 27% who would not accept any patients on the new government plan). Senator DeMint in South Carolina Promoting Health Care Freedom

Today, U.S. Senator Jim DeMint announced details for his 5th Annual “South Carolina on the Move” Tour. Senator DeMint will visit 12 cities throughout the state to promote his plan for health care freedom that will make it possible for Americans to have access to personal health insurance and the freedom to make their own health care decisions. “There are serious problems with the President’s plan for a government takeover of health care and I look forward to hearing from South Carolinians on this issue. I will continue to fight for real health care reform by fixing what’s broken, not ending what’s working. We should allow patients to buy affordable insurance from any state, give fair tax treatment to those who don’t get insurance at work, and lower costs by reducing [...]

"If the Department of Defense does not want these aircraft, they will be eliminated from the bill," Representative John Murtha, chairman of a House panel on defense appropriations, said in a [...]
Rep. Schakowsky (D-IL) Calls Tea Parties "Despicable' and "Shameful"

By Albert N. Milliron, Editor Politisite.com Seems like the working Talking point to diminish the impact of the nearly 500,000 who participated in the Tax Day Tea Parties is to call the movement an Astro-Turf (Fake Grassroots) event. Nancy Pelosi related this to reporters. She stated the tea party events are being funded by BIG Business and New Corp. Anyone who has been close to the city Planners is well aware that there was no funding form outside sources and gathering permits, obtaining insurance, and providing equipment were left up to the volunteers at the local level. There has been no evidence presented that large corporations have funded any of the Tea Party Events. The other talking point appears to be to call the participants uneducated and misinformed by those who would [...]
