Democrats to Attack GOP on Social Security

Democrats have been in control of both Houses of Congress since January 2007 and have yet to fix Social Security. Democrats failed to pass a budget, Unemployment remains above nine percent, and the national debt has another 187 billion dollars attached but, Democratic strategists are good at changing the subject and calling the opposition radical. Its not a new Strategy, Democrats like to worry the eldely that the GOP will privatize or take away their Social Security checks. They use photo ops where Democrats get around children on school lunch programs, alluding that Republicans will cut Federal programs because they don't care about the poor. Ground Zero Mosque Is Dealt a Setback in New York

In a reversal, an influential Jewish organization announced its opposition to a proposed mosque and Islamic center near Ground Zero in Lower Manhattan. The surprising decision by the Anti-Defamation League , reported by the New York Times Saturday, is likely to inflame a months-long dispute that's become a national debate on freedom of religion and the impact of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. Generic Congressional Ballot GOP leads Democrats by 10 Points- 46%, Democrats 36%

Republican candidates now hold a 10-point lead over Democrats in the latest edition of the Generic Congressional Ballot, tying the GOP's high for the year recorded the second week in March and their biggest lead in nearly three years of weekly tracking. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 46% of likely U.S. voters would vote for their district's Republican congressional candidate, while 36% would opt for his or her Democratic opponent. This comes even as separate polling shows 74% of voters correctly identify Republicans as the political party Democrats have labeled the Party of No for their opposition to President Obama's agenda.
