Who is Our Next Contestant?

Who is Our Next Contestant?

All right, folks, let the blame game begin! Who is our next contestant? Let's see, the Saudi immigrant story is not juicy enough, besides, we don't want to take a shot at anyone Islamic, right? Perhaps, instead of a News Network stooge, we could hire someone akin to Rod Roddy (the late "Price is Right" Announcer) to bring us our next contestant. We will have Anderson Cooper, right after he eliminates another right wing nut, ask the show's host, "who is my next contestant?" "OSAMA BIJANGOODRITRI!! COME ONNNNNN DOOOWWWWN." It is time to think about who hates America. Sadly, the world is full of potential suspects, and you are going to meet and forget many as the investigation takes off. But, who will be the winner? Do we really have confidence in the FBI nabbing this [...]

U.S., Saudi Arabia strike $30 billion arms deal

The Obama administration on Thursday announced an arms deal with Saudi Arabia valued at nearly $30 billion, an agreement that will send 84 F-15 fighter jets and assorted weaponry to the kingdom. The administration notified Congress last year of its intent to sell advanced weaponry to Saudi Arabia, a key U.S. ally in the Middle East and a strategic bulwark against Iran. Iran warns could stop oil flow if sanctions: IRNA

Iran warns could stop oil flow if sanctions: IRNA

Iran has been flexing it muscles with a recent naval exercise in the Strait of Hormuz.   So far sanctions have not worked to convince Iran to stop its pursuit of nuclear weapons.   This has given food for thought both to the U.S. and its allies, Israel and Saudi Arabia in the Middle East.   While it is widely believed that Israel has nuclear capability, Saudi Arabia has signed a nuclear proliferation treaty.   Some analysts believe that Saudi Arabia could use a loophole and have Pakistan locate nuclear weapons on Saudi soil.  The U.S. stations tactical nuclear weapons in Germany. To add to the confusion, Iran's News Agency quoted the country's first vice-president with a warning that the flow of crude oil through the Strait of H0rmuz would be stopped if further sanctions were [...]

President Obama / White House Statement on Death of Crown Prince Sultan bin Abd al-Aziz of Saudi Arabia

Statement by the President on the Death of Crown Prince Sultan bin Abd al-Aziz of Saudi Arabia It was with great regret that I learned of the passing of Crown Prince Sultan bin Abd al-Aziz of Saudi Arabia. As Minister of Defense and Aviation for almost 50 years, Crown Prince Sultan dedicated himself to the welfare and security of his people and country and was a valued friend of the United States. He was a strong supporter of the deep and enduring partnership between our two countries forged almost seven decades ago in the historic meeting between President Roosevelt and King Abd al-Aziz Al Saud. On behalf of the American people, I extend my deepest condolences to King Abdullah, the royal family, and the people of Saudi Arabia.
